What is the polling rate test?
The polling rate test measures how often your mouse reports its position to your computer, in hertz. For example, a 1000 Hz mouse reports once every millisecond, and a 125 Hz mouse once every 8 milliseconds. If you have a higher rate, it means that your game sees a fresher position.
How to use the polling rate test tool
Move your mouse in the area above. You will see your current polling rate, as well as your average and peak polling rate, all in Hz. Please note that Chrome, Edge, and Firefox give the best results, as Safari does not expose the raw mouse reports, so your reading there is capped near your screen refresh rate.
How to fix a low reading
A low reading might not be accurate at first. Therefore, move the mouse more to get better reporting. If you can plug the mouse in with a USB cable instead of Bluetooth or something similar, you might get better results. And last, check your mouse's software. With new firmware, you might see a higher rate.
